| Technical Documentation |
For Technical documentation The ValueSource India
follows a standard approach that is outlines here. The
documentation of programs and functions contains
validation and processing of that particular program |
 |
| Conversion |
Over time, there will be new tools and languages
that will come into existence. Some languages would
become obsolete due to reasons of support or lack
of expertise in maintaining them. To move to the
new technologies for easier maintainability,
conversion projects (using automated tools or by
manual mode) have gained acceptance in the
Industry. |
 |
| End to End Development |
Enterprise Generation Language (EGL) is a Fourth
Generation Language from IBM. A structured
programming approach, it supports rapid and
simplified development of applications complying
with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). The EGL
code can be generated in Java or COBOL which
makes it platform independent. |
 |
| Staffing |
ValueSource India's recruiting network ensures that appropriate candidates are recruited and deployed to meet client requirements on RBD EGL. Our process brings together some of the world's best talent, unencumbered by geography culture, time zones or technology and we have a 'ready reserve' of approximately 30 percent of our offshore employee base.
|
 |
| Governance Model |
THE ValueSource India believes that the creation of an independent entity for Governance of the EGL projects will provide opportunities for people at both our end and at customer's end to review the project closely and perform course correction.
|
 |
| Testing |
The testing practice is being adopted consistently in
all the Development and Maintenance project
activities within ValueSource India.
It is seen as a key activity within the Quality model
which is put in place and should ultimately lead to a
zero-defect service delivery
|
 |
| Maintenance |
|
Typically maintenance activities can be taken up
under the following scenarios
- Acquisition from the Development team.
- Transfer of maintenance from another
organization.
Under either scenario, there are two ways in which to
proceed. The first option would be to have a
knowledge transfer from either the development
team or the team that is already doing the
maintenance.
